Further Information

Jack's Camp is a permanent, luxury camp in the Kalahari Desert on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans, the largest saltpans in the world.

The opulent, roomy tents - each with open air, ensuite bathrooms - are furnished with antiques and are set into a palm grove creating a peaceful oasis in this stark environment. The main area of the camp has a super mess tent and a tea tent with Persian carpet cushions for sitting and relaxing.

From here, there are endless vistas across the salt pans and surrounding grasslands and you can explore these fascinating areas in 4x4 vehicles, on foot or by four wheel drive quad bike. After the rains (December to April) there can be enormous herds of wildebeest, zebra and springbok in the area along with the inevitable predators that follow in their wake. Walks with a Bushman tracker and a visit to Chapman's Baobab - the historical baobab tree used by Livingstone, Selous and other early exporers - are activities also on offer.

Why Not?
