Further Information
Lebala Camp is located about 20 miles south of Lagoon Camp in the Kwando concession.
It is situated on a peninsula of land jutting into the Linyanti marshes that
surround the camp. Guests stay in lovely, spacious tents on raised teak decks,
each with remarkable views of the surrounding plains. Well spaced, they also
offer a great degree of privacy and solitude. Ensuite bathrooms are furnished
with grand, Victorian baths and each room also has a reed-enclosed outdoor
shower.
The area has excellent game viewing with the Linyanti marshes, seasonal flood
plains, savannah and wooded scrub providing the habitat for a range of interesting
species. Animals such as sitatunga, lechwe, wildebeest, zebra, hippo, giraffe,
buffalo, elephant and waterbuck are seen regularly. A number of predators,
including the endangered wild dog, are also frequently spotted here.
