Further Information

Meno A Kwena Safari Camp is set high up on the banks of the Boteli River on the edge of the Makgadikgadi National Park and overlooks a busy waterhole where a diverse range of animals and birds come to drink. The camp is owned and managed by David Dugmore, a legendary guide in the Kalahari and Okavango, who also produces and directs wildlife documentaries.

Accommodation comprises just six classic Meru style safari tents, each with fabulous views over the dry riverbed and waterhole. The main tent has a sitting area, library and bar. The delicious food is prepared either in the camp kitchen, over the campfire or a tin box oven adding to the authentic safari experience.

The wildebeest and zebra migration concentrates along the Boteti during the dry season (May to November) when small pools are the only surface water available to them. Impala, kudu, warthog, jackal and various monkeys are seen here regularly. Wild dog, elephant and giraffe can also be found. The birdlife is exceptional with the riverine woodlands of acacia and leadwood harbouring a range of species.
