Further Information

Xakanaxa Camp commands a prime location on the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve. This super camp combines original and authentic African bush camp character with stylish and elegant accommodation. Guests stay in spacious, ensuite safari tents nestled beneath tall, shady trees and each overlooking the lagoon (and within earshot of the many honking hippos that live here!)

The camp's central area is built from local timber, reed and thatch and extends out into the Khwai River on raised platforms, maximising the views over the surrounding lagoons and islands. There is a smart sitting area, dining room, large sundeck, plunge pool and sala with day bed.

The reserve is home to an amazing variety of dry and wetland animals. In the late afternoon, buffalo, elephant, kudu and giraffe can be seen moving across the flood plains in search of water. Guests can enjoy guided game-viewing in the lodge's boat or game vehicle.
