A fantastic vantage point

For those seeking a slightly more unusual safari activity, camel trekking may well appeal. It is a very entertaining way to experience the African bush and provides a great vantage point from which to enjoy your surroundings. Our camel trekking exploits take place in Kenya - and the Laikipia region of northern Kenya is the ideal setting for a camel safari: beautiful scenery, interesting terrain, picturesque rivers and wonderful game. Guests are looked after by experienced and very friendly Laikipiak Maasai guides.

A number of choices

This age old style of safari can be tailor-made to suit all ages and fitness levels. Guests are free to either ride their camel or walk beside it and any camel safari will normally entail a combination of both, depending on terrain and length of trip. Half day and full day bush walks are both available as are longer excursions with fly-camping en route.
