A delightful experience

There is something wonderful about putting up your feet at the end of a fabulous day's game-viewing, sitting on your private balcony with a delicious sundowner in your hand watching the setting sun and listening to the noises of the African bush. There are fresh flowers by your bed, newly laundered towels in your bathroom and you know that nothing is too much trouble for the friendly and professional staff looking after you.

Our first hand knowledge is key

There is always a good reason why we recommend a certain lodge to a certain client - and we're not just taking our information from brochures that you could very well access yourself. Crucially, we've been to the properties ourselves and we know the people that own and run them. We therefore base our suggestions on vital first hand experience and can help you choose some really fabulous places to stay.

The most important reasons for us recommending any lodge are;

  • super, comfortable accommodation
  • a style and budget of property to fit your requirements
  • spectacular locations and great game-viewing with expert guiding
  • knowledgeable and responsible management
  • efficient and friendly staff
  • well produced, fresh food

The majority of the lodges have a large range of additional facilities – some of which are staggering when you consider the remoteness of their locations: crystal clear swimming pools, beautiful gardens, tennis courts, well-stocked boutiques and fabulously pampering spas with numerous wonderful treatments. Other properties are much simpler and display a more rustic 'farmhouse' charm . No matter what you're looking for, we'll have suggestions to match.

A great base for adventurous exploits

Most lodges offer a number of activities, many of which are included in the cost of staying there. Examples include game drives, camel trekking, horse riding, river rafting, guided bush walks and quad bike riding. For more information on the kinds of things you can do on safari, please refer to the section on 'Safari Activities'. Please let us know if there are any particular activities in which you are interested and we will be able to let you know which lodges offer them.
