Further Information

Campi Ya Kanzi is a great camp based on the other side of the Chyulu Hills from Ol Donyo Wuas. It is a community-run project and the lodge is managed by Luca Belpietro and his wife, Antonella, to a very high standard indeed. They work closely with the Maasai community, where conservation is the main aim of all concerned.

The lodge was a finalist in the World Legacy 2004 Awards. Guests are accommodated in lovely tents set on wooden platforms with ensuite bathrooms and wonderful views from their private balconies. Added to this, guests have a personal Maasai attendant during the daytime and an askari (or night watchman) to look after them at night. This all results in total luxury in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

  • Beautiful and remote area
  • Supports local community
  • Owner run by friendly Italians
