Overlooking the crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches of Watamu Bay, Hemingways is an idyllic luxury beach hotel. It is situated within the unspoilt coral reef of Watamu Marine Park and has been voted Best Beach Resort in Kenya for a number of years.

A wide range of activities are available to guests including scuba diving, waterskiing and deep sea fishing. All of their very comfortable rooms are ensuite with panoramic views of the ocean. It is quite a large property with 74 rooms but it still retains a lovely, relaxed atmosphere coupled with an air of sophistication.

Not far from Hemingways is Mida, a tidal lagoon of mangrove creeks teeming with exotic bird-life and the venue for the hotel's sundowner cruises on an Arabic dhow. There are plenty of other activities for those wishing to head out to sea including fishing, dolphin watching, snorkelling and diving. whilst out to sea there is fishing, dolphin watching, snorkelling and diving.
