Further Information
Loisaba is a 61,000 acre, privately owned ranch in the Laikipia region of Northern
Kenya. The bulk of the land is untamed African bush with a fantastic variety
of game. Loisaba is also a working cattle ranch and a fine example of sustainable
land use.Crucially, because the land is privately owned, there are no game
park rules and this gives Loisaba's visitors an extremely rare opportunity
to discover this magnificent area free from the restrictions that are imposed
in many other game-viewing regions.
The lodge is converted from an old colonnial home and sits on the edge of a high escarpment with sensational, far-reaching views across the plains to Mount Kenya. There are just seven ensuite cottages each with their own veranda. There is a large homestead with huge leather sofas and open fires, a bar and a dining room. The lodge also has a pool, tennis court, petanque pitch and fully equipped spa with a great range of pampering treatments.
