A Private Safari through The Rift Valley
and The Masai
Mara
in Kenya in 2008
If you love Africa and the truly wild regions, then your ideal safari is
probably a small private safari away from the well trodden tourist routes,
staying in remote areas in your own exclusive camp. You may have dreamed
of this style of safari but found it beyond your budget, but not any more.
Migration Safaris together with Alex Walker have developed a small-tented
mobile safari where your comfort, expert guiding and exclusivity are
all important, but extreme luxury and a huge budget are not. You safari
in a private game viewing Land Cruiser guided by an experienced and licenced
guide and your camp is set up in remote private camping areas within
the wildlife regions.
Your accommodation is in a walk-in bow tent, where stretcher beds and comfortable
bed rolls are made up with sheets, duvets and pillows. A loo and shower
tent is erected near by. A dining and kitchen area is set up by the fire
and your chef will prepare delicious meals and home made bread for you
while you explore the area with your guide. Dinner is eaten under the
huge African night sky with the chance of inquisitive game wishing to
share this with you.
This trip gives you a genuine private safari without the frills of modern
living but with all the basic comforts provided for. When travelling
between camping areas, your camp is taken down and re-erected in the new
site on arrival. All the tents and equipment are packed in your vehicle
and trailer, your guide and chef travelling with you between camps.
The real beauty of this trip is that it is ideal for two people and we
will even consider taking only one person. It is ideal for those who want
to really study the game and bush without the hindrance of other people
around. It is a safe adventure with the security of your personal guide.

April and May are incomparable. The camp lies on a gentle slope under
large Walbergia trees positioned to blend unobtrusively into the surrounding
vegetation. Clients driving into camp alight on the hillside above
