Mauritius has a tropical climate but temperatures never get intolerably
high owing to the surrounding seas. The country has fairly substantial
rainfall all year round with the wettest period being December to April
(accompanied by the occasional cyclone). From May to November, the weather
is generally wonderful with low rainfall, lovely sunny days and warm temperatures.
Mozambique is a tropical country with a single rainy season lasting from
November to March and the southern coastal regions getting most of the
rain. Coastal temperatures can vary hugely from lovely, comfortable, warm
conditions with light sea breezes to extremely hot and sweaty conditions
during certain periods of the rainy season when high humidity takes effect.
The
Seychelles has moderate to heavy rainfall all year round, particularly
between October and March. Despite the rain, the climate is fantastically
sunny and even though temperatures are often very high, gentle ocean breezes
make the conditions very pleasant. June and August are the driest months.
The following charts are a quick reference to the predominant
weather conditions during different months of the year. However, please
remember that there are no hard and fast rules.
