Further Information

Okonjima Bush Camp is in the Omboroko Mountains. It has a remarkably friendly atmosphere and offers super walks, lovely scenic drives, great food and excellent service. Guests also have the opportunity to see the wonderful work that their hosts, the Hanssen family, are doing with AfriCat, set up to relocate cheetah and leopard and other trapped or injured animals back into the wild.

The foundation has a slightly zoo-like quality (as some of the animals are very tame and thus are not able to be released into the wild) but it is important to remember that for the few kept in captivity there are many realeased and that the work of AfriCat has done a huge amount of good to the wildlife of Southern Africa.

The Bush Camp is extreamly comfortable with accommodation in private ensuite cottages overlooking a waterwhole. A charming and professional team provide service to a very high standard and ensure that guests have lots of fun whilst at this super camp.
