Further Information
Ongava Lodge is located just south of Etosha National Park in the private
Ongava Game Reserve (in a different sector of the reserve from
Ongava Tented Camp) and makes a great base from which to explore both the
game reserve and Etosha National Park.
Guests stay in gorgeous, air-conditioned, thatched chalets constructed of
rock and thatch, each with an ensuite bathroom and great views from the private
balconies of the waterhole infront of the lodge. The waterhole is a hive of
activity with animals coming and going virtually the whole time. For a more
close-up experience of the game, there is a hide where guests can spend the
afternoon at even greater proximity to this busy drinking hole.
The main dining room is set under a thatched roof and there is also a deck,
where guests can dine out under the stars. The game-viewing activities here
are excellent with professionally guided trips in open four wheel drive vehicles
into the surrounding area. Night drives and bush walks can also be enjoyed
in the private reserve. Ongava has resident white and black rhino providing
guests with a wonderful opportunity to see these incredible species.

Very comfortable lodge in a game rich area
