Further Information

Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater and is, without doubt, one of the most staggeringly opulent and architecturally spectacular lodges in Africa. The staff are extremely efficient, the food is of the very best quality and the service is second to none. To stay here is a real treat.

A fusion of earth and baroque luxury in the form of three African villages, each one has ten private ensuite cottages commanding dazzling views of the crater floor. Each mud and thatch suite is decorated with grand chandeliers and African artefacts. Massive windows in the bedrooms, sitting rooms and ensuite bathrooms offer sensational views of the crater. Personal butlers are on call to see to guests' every need, bringing tea in bed, stoking the fire and running the bath.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique and fascinating game-viewing area. This once volcanic crater shelters numerous animals against the dramatic back-drop of the crater walls and the lodge is a great base from which to explore this amazing park.
