Further Information

Jongomero Camp sits under tall acacia trees in the remotest area of the south western part of the park. It lies along the banks of the Jongomero Sand River and is the only camp in the area ensuring a great degree of exclusivity. Although Ruaha National Park is the second largest in Tanzania, it is one of the lesser known parks and consequently a favoured destination amongst safari connoisseurs.

The camp has eight tented suites under large thatched roofs each with a private veranda. The dining room and central sitting area are also tented, giving the camp a 'Classic Explorers' theme. There is a natural rock pool too.

Jongomero specialises in remote game drives - in open air 4 wheel drive vehicles - and also in guided walking safaris, each lasting between two to three hours. Guests can also enjoy an all day game drive with picnic breakfast and lunch en route.
