Uganda and Rwanda share a fairly simliar climate. Both countries are mountainous and tropical although rainfall is considerably higher in Uganda. The country's weather is affected by Lake Victoria, which generates belts of heavy rain and thunderstorms that fall on the Western mountains. Uganda has two main rainy seasons of March to May and October to December. Rwanda's rainy season is from October to May, with the best time to visit being June to August, when humidity is low and conditions are pleasant.
