Further Information

Busanga Bush Camp is situated in the heart of the Busanga Plains in the northern regions of Kafue National Park. The plains become flooded by the Lufupa River during the rainy season and form a vast inland marsh. In the early part of the season from June to August it is still wet in parts and provides a perfect habitat for flocks of waterfowl and other unusual bird species as well as a rich concentration of puku and lechwe antelope permanently on the look out for the Busanga lions. From August to November onwards the plains dry out and provide almost daily sightings of lion and there is a good chance of seeing cheetah as well. The area also boasts a rich variety of plains game including the rare Lichenstein’s hartebeest and elusive roan antelope to name just two.

The camp accommodates a maximum of 8 guests in 4 simple but comfortable thatched huts with ensuite camp showers and bush loos. Meals are served in a separate open air bar/dining area. Activities available here include day and night game drives. By special arrangement only, it is sometimes possible to arrange bush walks around the camp. Your stay here will include all meals, drinks and activities.
