Nkwali Camp is situated in the Mfuwe area on the banks of the Luangwa River, a 40 minute drive from Mfuwe airport. From the lodge, you can access the park by vehicle and pontoon or through the main park gates. This is superb gameviewing country, with a beautiful area of ebony woodland and open grasslands. Elephants regularly cross the Luangwa, seen from the bar, or come to the waterhole near the thatched dining room. Nkwali itself sleeps 12 guests in 6 large thatched cottages. Each is simply but comfortably furnished and each has a large ensuite bathroom. Delicious meals are served in the open air dining room. As with all Robin Pope Safaris camps, the activities available are day and night game drives and walking safaris. You will be accompanied throughout by a highly informative guide and will never be more than 4 guests to a vehicle
